Short answer

monday.com Work Management Basic is about $9 per seat per month on annual billing. Standard is $12. Pro is $19. Monthly billing costs more per seat, and Enterprise is custom. The free plan is real, and it stops at 2 seats, 3 boards, and 3 docs.

Those figures are from our tool data, checked in October 2026. monday.com may show a different number in your local currency, so treat the dollars below as the USD list prices in our data, not a quote for every country. Confirm the current bill on the official monday.com pricing page before you add seats. This guide is the Work Management bill. The product is in the monday.com review and the monday.com profile.

How much does monday.com cost?

monday.com charges per seat on the Work Management product. A person who needs a full place on the boards is a seat. Our data does not publish a separate monthly dollar amount. It says the annual rates below, and that monthly rates are higher.

PlanAnnual price in our dataWho it is for
Free$0Up to 2 seats, up to 3 boards and 3 docs
BasicAbout $9 per seat/monthTeams that have outgrown 2 seats or 3 boards
Standard$12 per seat/monthTeams that need the next tier up from Basic
Pro$19 per seat/monthTeams that need the higher Work Management tier
EnterpriseCustomOrganizations with custom admin and security needs

There is no unlimited-member free tier in our data. Two people can try the product. A third person is a paid plan, even if the work is light.

The prices above are for Work Management. monday CRM, monday Service, and monday Dev are priced separately. If a sales team is buying the CRM product, or a support team is buying Service, do not use this table as that invoice. Open the pricing page for the product name on the contract.

What does the free monday.com plan include?

The free plan is a two-seat Workspace with a hard cap on boards and docs: up to 3 boards and up to 3 docs. That is enough for two people to copy one template and see whether the colored columns fit the work. It is not enough for a client roster, a department, or several campaigns side by side.

The free-plan guide stays on those caps. The short version is here because the paid price only makes sense next to what you are leaving.

Our data also says timelines and advanced automations sit on higher tiers. The free plan is a way to learn the boards. It is not the plan to design a rollout on, if the reason you are looking at monday.com is a timeline or a stack of automations.

What do Basic, Standard, and Pro change?

Our data names the three paid Work Management prices and does not assign every feature to a tier. Do not guess the split from the plan name.

What the product includes, across monday.com, is a set of customizable boards with many column types, Kanban, Gantt, Calendar, and Timeline views, automation and integration recipes, dashboards, templates, and add-on products such as CRM and service management. The integrations in our data include Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Jira, Salesforce, and Mailchimp. A wide catalog is not the same thing as every integration on Basic.

The limits our data does state:

  • The free plan stops at 2 seats, 3 boards, and 3 docs.
  • Timelines and advanced automations sit on higher tiers.
  • Pricing can rise quickly once you move up tiers and add other monday products.
  • Enterprise is a sales conversation, not a list price.

Basic is the plan to price first when the free caps are the thing in your way. Standard and Pro are the plans to open on the pricing page when a named feature, often a timeline or a class of automation, is missing from the tier you are on. Write down the feature name before you move every seat up. A $7 jump from Standard to Pro is $70 a month on a 10-seat annual bill, and more than that if you pay monthly.

Price the product you will use. Work Management, CRM, Service, and Dev are separate bills in our data. A Work Management seat does not tell you the CRM seat.

What does monday.com cost for a team?

Multiply the seat price by the number of people who need an account. Guests and full seats are not the same thing on most work tools, and our data does not publish monday.com's current guest rules, so count the seats you will assign and re-check the pricing page before you promise a client a login.

Annual billing, from the prices above:

Team sizeBasic per monthStandard per monthPro per month
5 seatsAbout $45$60$95
10 seatsAbout $90$120$190
20 seatsAbout $180$240$380

Basic stays "about" because our source price is about $9. Standard at $12 and Pro at $19 are the figures in our data, so those row totals are straight multiplication. Monthly billing is higher per seat. Our data does not publish the monthly dollar amount, so do not assume the annual total is the invoice if you want to cancel month to month. Choose monthly while you are still testing. Choose annual after the team has agreed to stay.

A 10-seat team that moves from Basic to Pro goes from about $90 to $190 per month on annual billing. That is the decision to slow down on. If the only missing piece is a view you have not confirmed is Pro-only, read the pricing page before you upgrade everyone.

How monday.com pricing compares with other tools

These are list prices from our data, checked October 2026, for the first paid tier on annual billing where the vendor publishes one.

ToolFirst paid price in our dataFree plan limit to know
monday.com BasicAbout $9 per seat/month2 seats, up to 3 boards and 3 docs
ClickUp Unlimited$7 per user/monthUnlimited members, 60MB storage
Asana Starter$10.99 per user/month2 users
Trello Standard$5 per user/month10 collaborators and 10 boards per Workspace
Notion Plus$10 per seat/monthIndividuals; a limited block trial once a second member joins

ClickUp Business, if you need the higher ClickUp tier, is $12 per user per month billed annually ($19 monthly). That matches monday.com Standard on the annual number and sits under Pro. Asana Advanced is $24.99 per user per month billed annually, above monday.com Pro. Read ClickUp pricing and Notion pricing if you are comparing bills rather than brand names. Asana pricing is the same kind of page for Asana.

Cheaper is not automatically a better fit. Trello Standard is $5 because Trello is a simple Kanban board. Notion Plus is a docs workspace with lighter project features. monday.com's case is visual boards, dashboards, and a product line that extends into CRM and service. ClickUp's case is a lower first paid seat, a free plan with unlimited members, and tasks, docs, and time tracking in one Workspace. ClickUp is more to configure. monday.com is the more visual board. ClickUp vs monday.com walks through that trade-off. monday.com alternatives is the short list if the bill is why you are shopping.

Which monday.com plan should you buy?

  1. Use the free plan only while two people are testing a real board. Do not design a rollout on 3 boards and 2 seats.
  2. Price Basic for everyone who needs a seat once a third person, a fourth board, or a fourth doc shows up. At about $9 per seat per month billed annually, write the annual total down before you announce the tool.
  3. Move to Standard or Pro only for a feature you have confirmed is not on the tier below. Timelines and advanced automations are the higher-tier items our data names.
  4. Keep CRM, Service, and Dev off this budget until you know you are buying those products.
  5. If the total is hard to justify, price ClickUp Unlimited at $7 per user per month billed annually for the same headcount, and read Is ClickUp free? if the 2-seat cap is the actual problem. ClickUp's free plan allows unlimited members, with 60MB of storage and limits on Spaces, forms, and whiteboards.

For a team that wants colorful boards and will check the tier before it buys, monday.com Basic is a coherent starting bill. For a team that wants the lower serious seat price and can spend time on setup, ClickUp is the comparison to run before you sign the annual monday.com invoice. The ClickUp hub collects the pricing, views, and setup guides in one place.
