Short answer
ClickUp renamed Everything view to All Tasks. It shows tasks from the whole Workspace. Open it from the Home Sidebar or the Spaces Sidebar, then add a view. Every plan can add views there. Guests cannot create them. Form view cannot be added at that level.
Everything view is now called All Tasks. ClickUp Help says All Tasks, formerly the Everything level, shows tasks from your entire Workspace in one place. If you are searching for "Everything view" and cannot find that label, you are in the right product. The name changed. The job did not: one screen for work that lives in more than one Space.
Daily work still belongs on a List. All Tasks is the rollup you open when the question crosses Spaces. The map of Spaces, Folders, and Lists is in how to use ClickUp. The ClickUp hub links the views you will actually add once you are there.
How do you open All Tasks?
Help gives two paths.
From the Home Sidebar:
- At the top of the Home Sidebar, click More, or scroll down to the Spaces section.
- Select All Tasks.
- In the Views Bar, click + View.
- Pick a view from the modal.
From the Spaces Sidebar:
- Click All Tasks at the top.
- Click + View in the Views Bar.
- Pick a view.
A shorter path in the "view all your tasks" article is: hover the Home Sidebar or the Spaces Sidebar, then select All Tasks. You land on tasks grouped by the status that belongs to their parent Space, Folder, Subfolder, or List. Statuses are not one global set unless you made them that way. An in-progress status in the client Space and an in-progress status in the sales Space can both appear, because each task keeps the status from its home List.
Help also says All Tasks can only contain views. You are not creating a new List of copied tasks. You are looking at the tasks that already exist, through whatever view you add.
Which views can you add at the Everything level?
Help's customizable-features article is direct: you can add any view at All Tasks except Form view. Forms stay on a List, because a form has to create a task in a specific place. That exception is in ClickUp Forms.
List and Board are the views ClickUp creates at All Tasks, Space, Folder, Subfolder, and List by default. Only List view is required at every level. Everything else is a choice.
Help names three uses for views at this level:
- Organization-wide initiatives.
- Projects that cross departments.
- Docs for the whole organization, such as an employee handbook or a knowledge base.
Page views can live here too. Help says you can share Docs and Whiteboards at All Tasks so teams across the Workspace can find them beside the tasks. Doc view and Whiteboard view are both allowed at this level. Writing in Docs is covered in ClickUp Docs.
| Location | What you see | Add a view when |
|---|---|---|
| List | Tasks in that List only | The work has one workflow |
| Folder, Subfolder, or Space | Tasks in the Lists under that location | A manager needs one team or one client |
| All Tasks (formerly Everything) | Tasks in the Workspace | The question crosses Spaces |
| Dashboard | Cards, not the task grid | You need a number, a chart, or a scheduled report |
Calendar, Table, Gantt, and Workload are views, so they are allowed at All Tasks under the "any view except Form" rule. Each of those views still has its own plan limits. Calendar is unlimited on every plan. Gantt is capped on Free Forever. Workload uses are capped on Free Forever and Unlimited. Those caps are about the view, not about All Tasks itself. Details are in ClickUp Calendar view, ClickUp Gantt chart, and ClickUp Workload view.
Who can create an Everything level view?
ClickUp's views availability table splits this by role:
| Action | Guest | Member | Admin | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Use views | Only on Lists, Subfolders, and Folders shared with them | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Create views at the Everything level | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Guests do not get a Workspace-wide rollup they can build themselves. If a client should see one List, share that List. Sharing rules are in ClickUp guest access.
The same table says every current plan can add Everything level views: Free Forever, Unlimited, Business, Business Plus, and Enterprise. You do not upgrade only to unlock All Tasks. You upgrade when a view you place there, such as unlimited Gantt or a higher Workload cap, is the thing you actually need. Plan prices are in ClickUp pricing: Unlimited is $7 per user/month billed annually ($10 monthly), and Business is $12 per user/month billed annually ($19 monthly). Prices were checked in October 2026.
How should you use All Tasks without living in it?
All Tasks is wide on purpose. Help points it at executives who need the whole organization, and at work that has no single Space. That is a check-in view, not the place you process a Tuesday.
A practical set, using only views Help allows at this level:
| View | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| List | What is open across Spaces, grouped by each task's own status |
| Board | Where those statuses sit, when a board is easier to scan than a list |
| Calendar | Which dated tasks fall this week, including work from more than one client Space |
| Doc | Where the handbook or the company wiki lives |
Keep the Views Bar short. Help says the bar shows views that are added and pinned for the current location. Pin the one Monday view. Leave the experiments unpinned until someone uses them.
Two neighboring tools are not substitutes:
- A dashboard answers "how much" and "what changed." All Tasks answers "which tasks." Reporting cards are in ClickUp dashboards.
- A Space view answers "this team's work." Use it when every relevant List already sits in one Space. All Tasks is the extra step when they do not.
What All Tasks will not do
It will not give every status the same name. The default grouping uses the status on the parent location. If two Spaces use different words for the same stage, the rollup shows both. Standardize statuses where a cross-Space board needs to make sense. How to edit them is in ClickUp custom statuses.
It will not replace a List for day-to-day updates. Creating work, setting assignees, and moving a card still happen on the task, which lives in a List. All Tasks is a window.
It will not host a Form. Intake that must create a task in one List stays on that List.
It will not show a guest the whole company. Build a shared List or a shared view for that person instead.
Used that way, Everything view (All Tasks) is the right screen a few times a week: everything that is open, then back to the List where the work is supposed to move. Teams that want the simplest possible board, and never need a cross-Space rollup, will move faster in a lighter tool. ClickUp earns the extra screen when the work really is spread across Spaces.
